My highest priority when working with young singers is teaching singing techniques that are safe and healthy for a voice that is still in development.
Beside the technical aspects, we will work on developing your confidence as a performer - that can include stage work as well as character work.
Whether you are a serious performer looking to polish your skills on the stage, or an enthusiastic shower singer, i'll help you build a solid foundation, that will make you improve your singing in a healthy way, while keeping it fun!

My method focuses on singing as a full body experience. Breath, movement and body working together to give your voice support and energy.
My name is Catrina Poor, and I am a professional opera singer, who has also worked in musical theatre and jazz. I am also an experienced acting teacher who values the character of music, as well as its sound.
If you want to sing classical repertoire, musical theatre, blues, pop, jazz or rock - whatever you bring to your lessons, we'll unleash your personal interpretation of every song and discover your healthiest and best voice.
Whether you're an experienced singer or an enthusiastic amateur, I'll help you find a natural, active technique that improves your abilities over the long term and give you fast results that you can hear right away.
